Team Names and Divisions Announced

The twelve team names have been decided for the UDSA Football league. The teams have been split into two divisions:

Mountain Division:
Jaguars
Lions
Bruins
Wolverines
Cardinals
Cougars

Midwest Division:
Stallions
Pioneers
Angels
Warriors
Eagles
Seagulls

Now the hunt for players will begin. A minimum of 264 players will be needed to fill each team's roster needs. More rules and guidelines may be announced later, but it is assumed that a large Pool Draft will be done. A Pool Draft would allow each team the opportunity to draft a player of their choice in order from when they were selected to draft. The draft would continue until all of the players are taken. The order of the draft would be random as to give no particular team a selected advantage.

Another possible scenario may allow each team to recruit their own players. This would allow teams to pick their own personnel and build their own teams, but some teams may have an unfair advantage based on location and popularity.

First, the league will gauge the interest regarding local players before any final team drafts are set up.

New Beginnings!

You can expect to hear more about the new UDAA Football league in the coming weeks. Nac Nosaj, UDAA Director, has said that new plans are rolling forward smoothly. New team names and rosters will begin to take shape in the coming weeks.

The commissioner is looking to add 12 teams to the league, and will split them up into two different conferences. Each team would play all of the opponents in the league. This is a tentative outline, but is a step forward in rounding up the possible locations that will participate in this league.
